Hi everyone!

Well, we had a really good time visiting George's sister and his niece and GREAT-niece who had her first birthday party while we were there!  Here's a pic of me with the cutie-pie birthday girl:

That's my husband's thumb in the left foreground.   She's wearing the little outfit I picked out for her.

I have been working in my yard here and there.  My irises are doing amazingly well this year!  Last year they hardly bloomed at all, and this year they are profuse!  I guess they needed a year of rest or something.  Half of them haven't even opened yet, but the buds are up.

As for my nails- I decided to go with acrylic this time around- and I think I am liking them better than gel.  They both have their advantages and disadvantages, I guess- but I think the acrylic can look more natural, at least by the girl I go to.

As for my hair- I found a product by Aussie called "A Touch of Shine" gel that has NO 'cones in it and it is a very soft, shiny finish.  My curls are forming perfect spirals all over my head.  I am using my regular conditioner (I use a brand from Trader Joe's which is all-natural ingredients) as a leave-in and then applying the gel, and then doing the plunking or plopping method with a teeshirt to dry- also makes it so nice while I'm getting breakfast and putting on my makeup to have my hair bundled up on my head!- and then I let it down and am mostly letting it airdry the rest of the way while I go off to work, and then we have 1/2 hour before we open the store so it has a lot of dry time.  Then I just scrunch the dry hair to soften any "crispy curls", and it looks great!!

I am also toying with letting my "silver" (prefer that over GRAY) grow in.  It is very silvery, in fact, and I kind of like it.  Will give it more time and see if I can handle it.

Well, next weekend we are going to Branson, Missouri for a conference with our travel business.  Not too excited about location- not big on areas like Branson- but am looking forward to the trip with hubby and the time spent there in the conference.  We'll learn a lot and it will be fun.  There will be a dinner cruise one of the evenings.  Trying to decide what to wear...   I'll figure it out- always do! haha!

Hope everyone is enjoying a touch of spring out there!

Yep, I think we've lost Jerry and Sami for now anyway. Hopefully they'll stop again soon.

I don't like Branson much either, as a kid it was great. I didn't like it much the last time I was there, I must have gotten old or something. :) The scenery is lovely on the way there though so you can at least enjoy that. Kentucky is beautiful and so is southern Mo. Of course it excites me because there are actually forests in that part of the country. Here we have trees to mark the edges of property and to keep the winds down to avoid erosion, so forests excite me.

Your hair looks great in the picture, you'll have to send me an email about how you coax the curls out. My oldest daughter has curly hair and she has trouble sometimes getting her hair to look curly and well kept, I have no idea since I don't have curls.

Have a fun weekend in Branson, thanks for the encouragement.

Hi Gina!

I'm so sorry not to get back with you. My internet has been down since Saturday evening and I've been trying to get it back up all weekend. Finally this morning a lovely chap in India fixed it right up. There was a password issue. Grrrr.... He really was lovely. He learned English from an Aussie so he had the accent. It was really fun to chat with him. He visited my website while in the phone with me! Our first visitor from India!! :)

Have a blast in Branson! We drove through that area while driving cross-country during the great move from Ft. Lewis to Ft. Benning. Even in the worst of winter, it was pretty country. Of course, you are a bit young to enjoy Branson but as Shelli pointed out -- the drive will be lovely!

Blessings!
